Ars Techne is an emerging community-driven platform in Yerevan, Armenia, dedicated to exploring the intersections of arts, sciences, and technologies with a strong commitment to ecological responsibility, subsistent futures, and open knowledge sharing. As a research-driven initiative, we foster interdisciplinary collaboration, critical inquiry, and creative experimentation, bringing together artists, scientists, and technologists to engage with contemporary challenges.

At Ars Techne, we provide a space for learning, innovation, and responsible creation, offering workshops, research opportunities, and interactive public events. Our activities promote STEAM education, ethical technological development, and environmental consciousness, ensuring that artistic and scientific practices contribute to regenerative solutions.

With a focus on collaborative ethos, intellectual integrity, and ecological stewardship, we support projects that challenge conventional boundaries—whether between disciplines, species, or media. Ars Techne is committed to FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software) and Open Ethics principles, advocating for open knowledges, transparent research methodologies, and accessible technological solutions that empower communities. By integrating open-source tools and decentralized networks, we encourage a culture of shared innovation and collective problem-solving.

Through exhibitions, residencies, and community-driven initiatives, we aim to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem where creative minds can thrive, knowledge is freely exchanged, and technologies serve the common good.

We Grow Together

We nurture a collaborative and open ecosystem where knowledge flows freely. Through community-driven citizen science and hands-on experimentation, we bring people together to explore solutions for social and ecological well-being.

We Learn by Doing

Learning at Ars Techne is hands-on and collaborative. Through DIY/DIWO, open-source knowledge, and peer exchange, we empower makers, researchers, and artists to explore art, science, and ecology via workshops, hackathons, and field experiments.

We Create for Change

Merging art, science, and technology, we explore FLOSS, creative hacking, and sustainable innovation, shaping exhibitions and research that reimagine nature, culture, and technology for regenerative futures.
